• Applicants must be officers of Major Port Authorities applying on absorption or deputation.
• A degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences from a recognized university or institution is required; alternatively, a degree in Maths, Statistics, Operational Research or Economics, or an Engineering degree, with a postgraduate diploma in Computer Application, Computer Science or Information Technology is accepted.

• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in the specified computing, analytical or business administration subjects are desirable.

• Affix a recent passport-size photograph and obtain the Head of Office certificate with signature and seal.
• Enclose the attested APARs, educational and experience certificates, NOC, undertaking and vigilance or administrative clearance.

The direct-recruit age limit does not apply to absorption or deputation. The Class-I post pays Rs. 50,000-1,60,000; the recruitment rules also list a two-year probation period.

Complete the Annexure-II bio-data, affix a recent passport-size photograph and obtain the signed and sealed Head of Office certificate. Attach attested APARs for the last five years, educational and experience certificates, the Port's no-objection certificate, the required undertaking and vigilance or administrative clearance in Annexure-III. The Head of Office must certify ACRs for 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2026; the forwarding authority must also provide details of any major or minor penalty in the last 10 years.
