• Educational qualifications and relevant post-qualification experience must be held as on 31.10.2026.
• SHAPE-1 or equivalent medical fitness is required on the advertisement release date, supported by the prescribed service or medical record.
• The employer's experience certificate must specifically establish experience in the relevant field.

• Read the notification and use its Apply Online option between 4 November and 25 November 2026.
• Register with a valid email address and keep it active until the result is declared.
• Complete the application details; if saving an unfinished form, retain the provisional registration number and password for later access.
• Upload the required photograph, signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration and supporting documents, and capture the live photograph using the available webcam or mobile option.
• Preview all entries and uploads carefully. Uploaded documents cannot be replaced after submission, and editing is not permitted after fee payment.
• Submit the form, pay the applicable fee online by 25 November 2026, and retain the generated application and e-receipt.
• Do not send printed applications or supporting documents to SBI's office.

Recruitment scope and posting

SBI's Central Recruitment & Promotion Department is filling regular security-cadre positions through Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/28. The 60 provisional vacancies cover Manager (Security) in MMGS-III and Deputy Manager (Security) in MMGS-II jointly; no separate allocation between the posts is given. Appointments may be anywhere in India, and the probation period is six months.

Who should check eligibility

This recruitment is for Indian graduates with the specified military or paramilitary officer service, not graduates without that experience. Manager applicants need at least 10 years at the prescribed service and rank levels, while Deputy Manager applicants need at least five years. Age, education and experience are assessed against 31 October 2026. Medical eligibility requires SHAPE-1 or an equivalent category on the advertisement release date, with documentary support.

Application schedule and document checks

Registration, application editing and online fee payment are scheduled from 4 November to 25 November 2026. Applicants should open the advertisement through SBI's current openings page, register, complete their details and upload the required records. A live photograph must also be captured through the available application option. Review the form and each upload before submission: uploaded documents cannot be changed afterwards, and fee payment ends the ability to edit the application. Retain the application printout and payment e-receipt; hard copies must not be sent to the office.

OBC applicants claiming reservation need a Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued between 01.04.2026 and their interview date. EWS applicants must produce the Income & Asset Certificate for Financial Year 2025-26 by document verification at interview. Category changes are not allowed after registration.

Examination and final merit

The tentative examination period is December 2026 / January 2027, with call letters expected in December 2026. The two-hour test has 200 questions carrying 200 marks across Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness and Professional Knowledge. There is no negative marking. The first three sections are qualifying; Professional Knowledge contributes to merit. Final ranking combines normalized Professional Knowledge and interview scores with weights of 70 and 30 respectively. Interviews are tentatively planned for January / February 2027, followed by the final result in February 2027.
