Project and appointment

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri has issued notification CA/IFS/PPCD/YP-I Notification/88/ 2026, dated 28.10.2026, for Young Professional-I appointments. The positions support the Pilot Project on Crop Diversification under the All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Farming Systems. Three posts are available, covering Nashik, Nandurbar and Kolhapur, at consolidated pay of Rs.30,000 per month under ICAR rules.

Eligibility and work responsibilities

Applicants need a B.Sc.(Agri.) degree and must fall within the 21–40-year age range. Age must be entered in the form with reference to 09.11.2026. Knowledge or experience in computer, technical and administrative work is desirable. Preference applies to candidates already working in the project.

The assignment includes collecting information from farmers’ fields, conducting baseline surveys of selected farmers, entering data online and organising field training programmes. Appointees must also undertake duties assigned by the Principal Investigator and Chief Agronomist.

Interview and contract conditions

Eligible candidates will attend an interview at the date, time and venue fixed for it. Photo identity must be shown during document verification. Interview travel and attendance expenses are not reimbursed through TA/DA.

The appointment is temporary, contractual and initially for six months. Further six-month continuations depend on project requirements and performance. It carries no entitlement to permanent employment. The work is full-time, and another paid or unpaid job cannot be held alongside it. Leaving during the tenure requires one month’s written notice or one month’s salary, along with handing over charge.
