• Senior Research Fellow and Young Professional-II in Genetics & Plant Breeding: Master's degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable experience includes field experiments, basic molecular techniques, computer use, data analysis and scientific writing.
• Young Professional-II in Plant Pathology: Master's degree in Plant Pathology. Experience in field experiments, basic screening techniques, computer use, data analysis and scientific writing is desirable.
• Field Assistant: Graduation or a diploma in an agricultural subject. Field-work experience and technical or practical data-handling skills are desirable.
• Computer Operator: Higher Secondary (10+2) or a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, along with a certified computer course and typing proficiency in English and Marathi. Skills in MS Office, internet use and basic hardware/software troubleshooting are desirable.
• M.Sc. (Agriculture) final-year students who have submitted their thesis may attend the interview; selected candidates must provide their Provisional Degree Certificate at joining.
• Employed applicants must obtain a no objection certificate from their employer.

• Download the official notification and complete the application format provided in Annexure-I. Submit a separate application for every post sought.
• Paste a recent photograph and attach the required certificate copies, mark-sheets, experience and publication records, CV, and employer's no objection certificate where applicable.
• Complete the Annexure-II declaration concerning relatives employed at ICAR/IARI. Applicants with such relatives must send the required written details by post before the interview; disclosure only on interview day will make them ineligible for the interview. Applicants without such relatives may submit the declaration at the interview.
• Send the hard-copy application by post or submit it personally to the Oilseeds Specialist and Principal Investigator, Oilseeds Research Station, Nanded Road, Latur-413512. It must arrive by 5:00 p.m. on 5 November 2026.
• Report to the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani, by 10:30 AM on 13 November 2026 for the interview scheduled at 11:00 AM. No call letters will be sent.
• Carry the completed application, one set of self-attested certificate photocopies, original certificates and two recent passport-size photographs. Arrival after 11:00 AM will be treated as absence.

Recruitment scope and appointment terms

Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, has issued advertisement NO. SLL/ NMHYS/1710/2026 for five positions at the Oilseeds Research Station, Latur. The appointments support the National Mission on High Yielding Seeds and cover research, field assistance and computer operation. All positions are unreserved, temporary and contractual.

The initial appointment period ends on 31 March 2027. Further continuation depends on performance and the project period. These appointments do not provide a claim to regular university employment. Monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 42,000/-, with the SRF post carrying the stated year-wise pay and HRA.

Check the post-specific requirements

The research positions require a master's degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding or Plant Pathology, depending on the vacancy. Agricultural graduates or diploma holders can apply for Field Assistant. Computer Operator applicants need the specified educational qualification, a certified computer course and typing proficiency in both English and Marathi. The 21–45-year age range is stated for SRF and YP-II only.

Interview and declaration requirements

The interview venue is the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani, rather than the Latur application address. Report by 10:30 AM on 13 November 2026 for the 11:00 AM interview. No call letters or travel and daily allowances will be provided. If applications are numerous, merit-based shortlisting will determine interview participation in a 1:5 ratio.

Bring the completed application, original certificates, one self-attested photocopy set and two recent passport-size photographs. Applicants with relatives working at ICAR/IARI must send the prescribed relationship details by post before the interview; declaring them only on interview day will prevent participation. Those without such relatives may hand in Annexure-II at the interview.

Selected candidates must sign the university-required stamp-paper bond and undertaking. Resignation requires one month's notice or payment of one month's amount instead.
