About This Update
The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has moved the Kolkata Police Constable and Lady Constable Recruitment 2024 to the physical test stage. The prelims result was declared on 12/10/2026, with separate result lists for male and female candidates and an online score card, and the PET and PMT admit card followed on 15/10/2026. The physical tests begin from 28/10/2026. The drive has 3734 posts: 3464 for Constable and 270 for Lady Constable.
Physical Standards
Body measurements are checked in the PMT:
- Male (Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes): height 160 cm, weight 53 kg, chest 76-81 cm
- Male (all other categories): height 167 cm, weight 57 kg, chest 78-83 cm
- Female (Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes): height 152 cm, weight 45 kg
- Female (all other categories): height 160 cm, weight 49 kg
In the PET, male candidates must complete a 1600-metre run in 6.30 minutes and female candidates an 800-metre run in 4 minutes.
What To Do Now
- Check the male or female prelims result PDF, or open your score card using your Application Sl. No. and date of birth with your permanent district/state, to confirm you qualified.
- Download the PET / PMT admit card and note the date, venue and reporting time allotted to you.
- Read the result notice carefully for the instructions issued with this stage.
- Carry the printout of the admit card: it is required for entry to the PMT and PET arena.
- The Board warns that any canvassing during PMT and PET will lead to cancellation of candidature.
Points To Remember
- This recruitment was advertised in 2024: applications ran from 01/03/2024 to 29/03/2024, with corrections from 1 to 7 April 2024.
- The prelims exam was held on 21/12/2025 (12 noon to 1 PM) and its answer key was released on 31/12/2025.
- Candidates had to be 18 to 30 years old as on 01/01/2024, Class 10 passed and know the Bengali language.
- After PMT and PET, the remaining stages are the mains written exam, personal interview, document verification and medical examination.
