Contract appointment in the Marine Department

New Mangalore Port Authority has issued advertisement NMPA/ME/AM(MW)/CONT/2026/18, dated 27-10-2026, for one Assistant Manager (MW). The position is based at Panambur, Mangalore, and carries consolidated remuneration of ₹50,000 per month. The initial engagement lasts 03 years from joining, with a possible 02-year extension by mutual consent.

Who can apply

A monthly salary retention of ₹5,000 applies up to ₹50,000, refundable without interest after completion of the contract.

The engagement does not create a claim to permanent employment. Work beyond normal hours or on holidays may be required without additional remuneration. Port accommodation depends on availability and applicable rent, while joining travel allowance is not payable.
