• Hold an integrated postgraduate course in the concerned subject from an NCTE-recognised institution or university, with at least 50% aggregate marks including the B.Ed. component; alternatively, hold a recognised master's degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Meet the teacher-education requirement through an NCTE-recognised B.Ed. with at least 50% marks, a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with at least 50% marks, or a four-year integrated degree including a B.Ed. component with at least 50% marks.
• For PGT History, postgraduate study must be in History or a specialisation within it, and History must also have been studied at graduation level.
• Be proficient in teaching through both Hindi and English.
• Desirable qualifications include experience as a TGT in the concerned subject at a recognised institution, school work experience and knowledge of computer applications.

About the walk-in recruitment

Kendriya Vidyalaya Meghahatuburu is preparing a panel for part-time contractual PGT History engagement for the 2026-27 academic session, Phase-II. Panel and service conditions

Contractual teachers undertake regular teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, assessment, academic record maintenance, examination work and assigned student activities.
