How to write and submit it
- Answer every question in your own words, follow the section-wise word limits and identify each answer with its question number.
- Handwrite your responses; typed or printed answers are not allowed. Copying university material can earn zero marks for the question, while copying another student's responses can lead to rejection.
- Use A4 ruled paper, leave a 4 cm margin on the left, keep space between answers and secure all pages properly.
- Include your enrolment number, name, full address, signature, date, programme title, course code and title, assignment code, and study-centre name on the title page.
- Prepare a separate assignment for each course rather than combining all courses in one continuous file.
- Submit the completed assignment to the Coordinator or Programme In-charge of your allotted Study Centre or Programme Study Centre, not to the Student Evaluation Division at headquarters.
- Obtain and retain a submission acknowledgement, and keep a photocopy of your assignment.
- If you have requested a study-centre change, continue submitting to the original centre until IGNOU notifies you of the change.
Submission dates: 31 October 2026 (June term-end exam); 30 April 2027 (December term-end exam), according to the official listing. The PDF gives different deadlines; dates can differ by session.
