About the MCFTE-001 assignment
The MCFTE-001 assignment covers Units 1–8 and examines counselling approaches used in marital and family therapy. Topics include circular questioning, neutrality, emotions in couple therapy, preventive interventions, EFT, intimacy and desensitization.

How to write and submit it
- Answer every question in both sections, keeping Section A answers within 300 words each and Section B notes to about 150 words each.
- Write answers by hand in your own words; typed or printed answers are not allowed. Copying from course materials earns zero for the question, while copying another student's responses can lead to rejection.
- Use A4 ruled paper, leave a 4 cm left margin and at least four lines between answers, and fasten the pages securely.
- Place your enrolment number, name, full address, signature and date at the top right of the first page; put the programme title, course code and title, assignment code and study centre name at the top left.
- Use separate sheets for each course assignment, identify each answer by its question number, and finish one section before beginning the next.
- Submit to the Coordinator or Programme Incharge of your allotted study centre, not to the Student Evaluation Division at headquarters. If a centre change is pending, submit to the original centre until IGNOU confirms the change.
- Obtain and retain a submission receipt, and keep a photocopy of your completed assignment.
Submission dates: 31 March 2027 (June 2027 term-end examination); 30 September 2026 (December 2026 term-end examination).
