How to write and submit it

  • Answer every question in both sections. Keep each Section A answer within 300 words and each Section B note to about 150 words.
  • Handwrite your answers in your own words. Typed or printed answers are not allowed; copying from course materials earns zero for the affected question, while copying another student's responses can lead to rejection.
  • On the first page, put your enrolment number, name, full address, signature and date at the top right, and programme title, course code and title, assignment code and study centre name at the top left.
  • Use A4 ruled paper, leave a 4 cm left margin and at least four lines between answers, and secure the pages carefully. Avoid very thin paper.
  • Keep each course assignment on separate sheets, number every answer and finish one section before starting the next.
  • Submit to the Coordinator or Programme Incharge of your allotted Study Centre or Programme Study Centre, not to the Student Evaluation Division at headquarters.
  • If you have requested a study centre change, continue submitting to the original centre until IGNOU notifies you of the change.
  • Obtain and retain a submission receipt, and keep a photocopy of your completed assignment.

Submission dates: 31 March 2027 (June 2027 term-end examination); 30 September 2026 (December 2026 term-end examination).
