Prepare for verification

Shortlisting follows GATE merit, normally at 1:5 or more against category-wise vacancies in each discipline. Candidates tied at the shortlisting boundary are all called. Verification dates, times and venues will appear on the DVC website; postal call letters are not issued. Bring originals and one set of self-attested copies, including educational records, GATE documents, applicable reservation certificates and employer NOC where required. OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must meet the stated current-year and one-year validity conditions. OBC (NCL) applicants also need the prescribed self-undertaking.

Training and appointment

Training lasts one year, with initial basic pay of Rs 50,000 in the Rs 50,000–1,60,000 scale. Successful trainees move to Assistant Manager, E-1 Grade, with initial basic pay of Rs 60,000 and one year of probation. Appointment also requires clearance by the BPSCL Medical Board; health standards are not relaxable.
