    About the recruitment

Delhi Metro International Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, has issued advertisement DMIL/HR/Rectt./CMRL/PHASE-II/TECH/2026 for Technician engagement. The work concerns maintenance departments supporting Chennai Metro Rail Limited Phase-II operations and maintenance. The notice does not give a numerical vacancy total and provides 30% horizontal reservation for women.

    Eligibility checks before attending

Applicants must be 18–33 years old on 01.10.2026, subject to reserved-category relaxation under Tamil Nadu Government rules. Matriculation or Class 12 must be accompanied by a relevant NCVT/SCVT ITI qualification with at least 60% aggregate marks. Only Government and Government-aided ITIs in Tamil Nadu are accepted. Candidates with private ITI qualifications or a history of LASIK surgery are not eligible for this Technician engagement.

    Screening and engagement

Document verification and screening include a qualifying Tamil reading, writing and speaking test. Those who studied Tamil in Class 10 are exempt. Suitable candidates enter a panel valid for two years from approval; panel inclusion does not guarantee engagement. Medical fitness and character verification are also required. DMIL pays for the first medical examination, while a candidate-requested re-medical is at the candidate's expense.

    Contract terms to understand

The initial engagement is for three years at a monthly consolidated CTC of Rs. 28165/-, without a right to regularisation. Continuation or renewal depends on satisfactory service. A training-cost bond requires three years of service, excluding leave without pay; leaving earlier attracts proportionate recovery of training costs.
