CSIR-CECRI Project Associate and Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for 5 Additional Posts

What the addendum changes

CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi has issued an addendum dated 29.10.2026 to Notification No. PS-10/2026, originally dated 24.10.2026. It adds five project vacancies to the announced walk-in interview. These additions consist of one Senior Project Associate, two Project Associate-I and two Project Assistant-II positions. All are temporary engagements under Project No. GAP 25/26. The other terms and conditions of the main notification remain unchanged.

Who can attend

The Senior Project Associate position requires either a Ph.D. in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences & Technology or an M.E./M.Tech. in Nanoscience & Technology, together with two years of R&D experience. Experience in electrochemistry or electrochemical energy-related work is desirable. Project Associate-I accepts B.E./B.Tech. qualifications in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or an M.Sc. in Chemistry. Project Assistant-II is open to candidates with a three-year Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The maximum age is 40 years for Senior Project Associate and 35 years for the other two posts. Age is assessed on the interview date. Monthly stipends are Rs. 42,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively, with HRA payable in addition.
