About the recruitment

AIIMS Rajkot has issued notice AIIMS/RAJKOT/VRDL/2026/299 for two project positions in the Department of Microbiology's Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory. The recruitment covers one Laboratory Technician and one Multi-tasking Staff under extramural project EM/04/2023, which concerns a nationwide laboratory network for managing epidemics and national calamities. Funding is provided by DHR-ICMR.

Eligibility and contract conditions

Both posts carry an upper age limit of 35 years, with the specified category relaxations. Eligibility, including age, qualifications and experience, is assessed on 30 November 2026. MTS applicants need High School, Matriculation or an equivalent recognized-board qualification. Laboratory Technician applicants must meet the science, laboratory-technology or High School-plus-experience route stated in the notice. Relevant experience must follow acquisition of the essential qualification.

The first appointment lasts 11 months. Any extension depends on performance, scheme continuation and funding, and the Principal Investigator may extend or shorten the engagement.
