About This Recruitment
CSIR-CFTRI, the food research laboratory in Mysuru, has advertised 28 regular Technician-1 posts under Advt. No. Rec.02/2026. The application process is two-step: you apply online between 19 October and 18 November 2026, then post a printed copy so that it reaches the institute by 26 November 2026. Both steps are required.

Exam Pattern
After a qualifying trade test, candidates sit a written exam of 150 questions for 400 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes:
- Paper I, Mental Ability Test: 50 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour
- Paper II, General Awareness: 25 questions, 75 marks; English Language: 25 questions, 75 marks (30 minutes in all)
- Paper III, Concerned Subject: 50 questions, 150 marks, 1 hour
Paper I has no negative marking and is qualifying; Paper II and III carry three marks per correct answer and one negative mark per wrong answer, and the merit list is based on these two papers only.
Place of Posting
Selected Technicians will work under the Director, CSIR-CFTRI, either at the Mysuru headquarters or at its resource centres in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Lucknow. They can also be transferred to any CSIR laboratory or institute in India when needed.

- Print and sign the submitted form, attach a photo, self-attested certificates and the fee e-receipt, and write the post name, post code and advertisement number on the envelope.
