About This Recruitment
Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali, has announced direct recruitment to 83 permanent posts through Advertisement No. SCL:DR:01/2026. A short notice was issued on 21 October 2026 and the full notification on 22 October 2026. The online window runs from 1 November 2026 (11 AM) to 30 November 2026 (5 PM). Selected candidates will initially be posted at SCL, S.A.S. Nagar, although SCL can post them anywhere in India as required.
Posts And Pay
- Technician 'B': 41 posts, Level-03 (₹41,940).
- Technical Assistant: 30 posts, Level-07 (₹83,700).
- Junior Personal Assistant: 7 posts, Level-04 (₹48,780).
- Administrative Officer (2), Accounts Officer (1) and Purchase & Stores Officer (2): Level-10 (₹1,06,740).
These are approximate total monthly emoluments; basic pay starts at ₹21,700, ₹44,900, ₹25,500 and ₹56,100 respectively.
Who Can Apply
Technician 'B' needs Matriculation with a 2-year ITI (NCVT) or NAC/NTC in the relevant trade and 2 years' experience, and Technical Assistant needs a first-class 3-year diploma in the discipline (first-class B.Sc. for Physics and Chemistry) with 2 years' experience. Junior Personal Assistant needs 12th with stenography at 80 wpm. Each officer post can be applied for with a degree and 10 years' experience, a postgraduate degree and 5 years' experience, or a specialised MBA (HR, Finance or Material Management) and 2 years' experience. The age limits, counted on 30 November 2026, are 18-27 years for Technician 'B', 18-30 years for Technical Assistant, up to 25 years for Junior Personal Assistant and up to 35 years for the officer posts, with 5 years' relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (NCL).
Fee And Selection
Every applicant pays a ₹600 processing fee plus an application fee of ₹600 (Technician 'B' / Junior PA), ₹700 (Technical Assistant) or ₹900 (officer posts). Women, SC, ST, PwBD and ESM candidates who appear in the CBT will get the application fee back, but not the processing fee. Every post has a Computer Based Test with 0.25 negative marking; officer posts add a personal interview (60:40 weightage), while Junior PA and the technical posts have a qualifying skill test and merit by CBT marks. The CBT will be held in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
