More Information
What has been released
Railway Recruitment Boards have begun publishing NTPC Undergraduate CBT 2 results and cutoff marks under CEN 07/2025 from 30 October 2026. The examination was held on 17 September 2026 for 3,058 vacancies. Individual scorecards became available on 30 October 2026, separately from the regional result and cutoff PDFs.
Read the correct regional cutoff
Available figures cover Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bilaspur, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Patna, Ranchi and Siliguri. Cutoffs are expressed out of 100 and differ by region, post code, railway unit and reservation category. For example, the UR cutoff is 85.21739 for Ahmedabad 3WR, 80.57972 for Bengaluru 2SWR, 80.28985 for Chennai 2SR and 79.13043 for Siliguri 2NFR. These are separate entries, not interchangeable benchmarks.
Some regional tables also contain Ex-Servicemen and disability-category cutoffs. A dash means that no figure was listed for that entry; it must not be treated as zero. Candidates should use the original regional PDF to identify the precise category applicable to them.
Cutoff versus minimum qualifying marks
The minimum qualifying percentages are 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, and 25% for ST. These percentages are basic examination thresholds. Actual shortlisting depends on the relevant cutoff, so reaching the minimum percentage does not by itself secure a place in the next stage.
What candidates should do now
- Open the regional RRB result notice for CEN 07/2025 and search the result PDF for your examination roll number.
- Download the cutoff PDF and locate your post code, railway unit and reservation category.
- Access the scorecard portal using your registration number and the requested password or date of birth, complete verification and compare your marks with the applicable cutoff.
- Save the scorecard and regional cutoff document for reference.
Typing test and later stages
The CBTST is tentatively scheduled for 27 November 2026 for shortlisted Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist candidates. It is qualifying, with speeds of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk do not require this test. Candidates must follow the official CBTST notice for the final schedule, city intimation, hall ticket and instructions. The CBT 2 shortlist is provisional; document verification and medical examination remain applicable under the recruitment rules.
