• Eligible applicants are serving officers of Central or State Governments, UTs, autonomous or statutory bodies, PSUs, universities or recognised research institutions who meet the relevant post and service conditions. Candidates from non-government organisations are eligible only for short-term contract.
• Director (Projects): A recognised bachelor's degree and either a regular analogous post or five years of regular service in Level-12. Experience in a Ministry or Department dealing with Mines, Minerals or Geology receives preference.
• Joint Director (Monitoring & Coordination): A bachelor's degree in Geosciences, Earth Sciences or Geophysics, together with a regular analogous post or five years of regular service in Level-11.
• Senior Geologist / Senior Geophysicist: A master's degree in Geosciences, Earth Sciences or Geophysics, with a regular analogous post or five years of regular service in Level-10. At least three years of mineral exploration experience in Level-10 or an equivalent post is desirable.
• Director (Finance and Accounts): A recognised bachelor's degree, at least five years of finance, accounts and budgeting experience, and a regular analogous post or five years of regular service in Level-12. A master's degree in Commerce, MBA (Finance), Chartered Accountant or ICWA qualification is desirable.
• Assistant Director (Finance and Accounts): MBA (Finance) or a bachelor's degree in Commerce, at least two years of Finance and Accounts experience, and a regular analogous post or two years of regular service in Level-9.
• Accountant: A degree in Commerce or BBA (Finance), at least two years of accounts-handling experience, and a regular analogous post or six years of regular service in Level-5.
• Assistant: A recognised university degree, at least two years of Establishment or Administration experience, and a regular analogous post or six years of regular service in Level-5.

• Read the official circular and confirm the qualifications, experience and feeder-grade service required for the chosen post.
• Complete the prescribed Annexure-I bio-data proforma in three copies.
• Attach the required APARs, clearance certificates, educational and experience certificates, and NOC.

About the recruitment

National Mineral Exploration and Development Trust has issued circular F.No.59/3/2021-NMET, dated 4 November 2026, for seven vacancies in New Delhi. The engagement is on deputation, including short-term contract. Assessment and engagement terms
