• Senior Scientific Officer (DNA): First-division M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Zoology, Physical Anthropology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Forensic Science, with Zoology/Botany at B.Sc. level, plus 5 years of forensic DNA casework experience in a State/Central FSL.
• Senior Scientific Assistant (DNA): First-division M.Sc. or Ph.D. in the same listed disciplines, with Zoology/Botany at B.Sc. level, plus 3 years of forensic DNA casework experience in a State/Central FSL.
• Scientific Assistant (DNA): M.Sc. with at least second division in the listed disciplines, with Zoology/Botany at B.Sc. level, plus 1 year of forensic DNA casework experience in a State/Central FSL.
• Lab Attendant: Class 10 pass. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Science will receive preference.

Forensic Science Laboratory, Haryana, Madhuban, Karnal, has issued Advertisement No. 12907/26 for 20 contractual appointments. The notification was released on 25 October 2026. The recruitment covers three DNA scientific roles and Lab Attendant posts, with five vacancies in each designation. The job location is Karnal, Haryana.

Eligibility and remuneration

The scientific positions require qualifications in the specified life-science or forensic-science disciplines, along with Zoology/Botany at B.Sc. level.
