About This Recruitment
The Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA), Mumbai, has announced 30 Management Support Associate (MSA) vacancies under Advertisement No. PER-DGS-1/2026. A short notice was issued on 21 October 2026 and the full notification followed on 22 October. The engagement is contractual and carries a consolidated remuneration of ₹75,000 per month, inclusive of all mandatory deductions such as EPF, ESI, TDS and professional tax. Applications are accepted online from 23 October to 12 November 2026, and there is no fee.
Who Can Apply
- Graduates in any discipline with working knowledge of computers.
- An English typing speed of 35 words per minute, tested in a 15-minute qualifying typing test.
- Age between 18 and 35 years as on 23 October 2026; the notice says no reservation applies and selection is purely on merit.
- Post-graduation or experience in office automation, data management or Government/PSU office work is desirable.
Selection And Exam Pattern
Selection has four stages: a Computer Based Test, a qualifying typing test, document and eligibility verification, and an interview and/or functional proficiency assessment. The CBT is in English, lasts 90 minutes and has no negative marking; its date will be notified later. It has four parts of 25 questions each, carrying 50 marks per part:
- Part I: English Language and Comprehension
- Part II: General Intelligence and Reasoning
- Part III: Quantitative Aptitude
- Part IV: General and Digital Awareness
That makes 100 questions for 200 marks in total. Exam centres will be located only in the Greater Mumbai Metropolitan, Thane and Navi Mumbai region, so plan your travel accordingly.

- Apply online once the link opens on 23 October 2026, and finish well before the 12 November 2026 deadline.
- The 15 November 2026 correction window covers only name, father's name, category and address, so fill other details carefully.
- Practise English typing so that you comfortably exceed 35 wpm before the skill test.
Points To Remember
- This is a purely contractual engagement in Mumbai for one year at first, extendable yearly up to three years based on performance.
- Since there is no negative marking in the CBT, attempt every question.
- For document verification keep your matriculation/birth certificate, degree, photo ID, domicile certificate and any computer, PG or experience certificates ready.
