• Knowledge of Tamil sufficient for official correspondence and report drafting is required.
• The Master's marks requirement is reduced from 55% to 50% for SC/ST candidates and for Ph.D. holders who passed their Master's degree before 19 September 1991.
• Grade B in the seven-point UGC scale comprising O, A, B, C, D, E and F is treated as equivalent to 55%.

• Obtain the prescribed application form by downloading it or taking photocopies; self-designed formats are not accepted.
• Complete all sections and attach evidence supporting the information provided, along with the prescribed Demand Draft.
• Complete the Information Sheet and include it with each application copy.
• Prepare eight copies of the application.

Selection and service conditions

The Syndicate will determine the selection procedure.
