• Research Associate: Ph.D. in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, or M.Tech in that field with three years of teaching, industry or research experience. At least one paper in an SCI or NAAS journal is also required.
• Senior Research Fellow: M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering with two years of experience.
• Junior Research Fellow: Master's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, or Genetics and Plant Breeding.
• Technical/Project Assistant cum Technician: BCA, BCS, B.Tech in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering, or B.Com.
• Contractual Skilled Labour: HSC (12th) or a diploma in the Machinist or Fitter trade.
• Contractual Un-skilled Labour: SSC (10th) pass.

About the recruitment

Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani has advertised eight temporary, project-based positions under advertisement VNMKV/DST/COE/05/2026, dated 5 November 2026. The work is associated with the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and may also involve the university's jurisdiction and locations outside it for office work.

The six roles range from Research Associate and research fellow positions to technical assistance and contractual labour. Fixed pay ranges from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 58,000, depending on the post; the Research Associate, fellow and technical posts also carry 10% HRA. Eligibility and selection

Qualifications vary by role. The Research Associate post requires a relevant Ph.D. or M.Tech with three years of experience, as well as a published SCI or NAAS journal paper. The Junior Research Fellow post requires a master's degree in one of the specified disciplines. The technical and labour posts have separate degree, diploma or school-level requirements.

The academic performance score carries 70 marks, and the selection committee or interview carries 30 marks. Only shortlisted eligible candidates will be interviewed, and no TA/DA is payable for the interview.

Appointment conditions

The initial appointment is for six months, with a maximum engagement of 11 months. Extension depends on satisfactory performance and university approval. Original documents must be produced at interview, and an undertaking on Rs. 100 stamp paper is required before joining. A selected candidate must join within seven days of the office order.
