TRAI Advisor deputation opportunity
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India issued its Advisor recruitment notification on 22 October 2026 under File No. 1-15/2026-HR. The position is at Regional Office Delhi and carries Pay Level-14, Rs. 144200-218200, with allowances. The notification does not state a vacancy count.
Who can apply
This opportunity is for serving officers from the listed government bodies, autonomous and statutory organisations, public sector undertakings, recognised universities and recognised research institutions. A bachelor's degree and 15 years of experience in telecommunications, industry, finance, accountancy, law, management or consumer affairs are essential. Preference applies to candidates in senior management positions.
Applicants must also meet one of the service routes: a regular analogous post; four years of regular service after appointment in Level-13 or equivalent; or 17 years of regular Group 'A' service with at least seven years in a regular Level-12 post or equivalent. The maximum age is 58 years on the closing date.

The deputation is on foreign service terms, initially for three years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier. Only officers available for immediate placement with TRAI upon selection will be considered. The appointment follows DoP&Trg. OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II), dated 17 June 2010, as amended.
