• Yoga Assistant: High School or Intermediate followed by a Yoga certificate course lasting at least three months, along with three years of work experience in a Naturopathy clinic/hospital or Yoga centre.

About the recruitment

The Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer and the District Homeopathic Medical Officer, Sonbhadra, have jointly issued recruitment notice Kshe.Aa.So./2026-27-3026, dated 28 October 2026. It covers 19 contract/part-time positions serving AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres, also called Ayushman Arogya Mandir, and Yoga Wellness Centres under the National AYUSH Mission. Reservation will follow Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

Posts and eligibility

The vacancies comprise two Yoga Assistants, eight female Yoga Instructors and nine male Yoga Instructors. Yoga Assistant placements are at the Government Ayurvedic Hospitals in Robertsganj and Bahuara. Instructor placements cover the Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathic centres listed in the notice.

Applicants must be 21–65 years old on 1 July 2026. The Assistant route requires High School or Intermediate, a subsequent Yoga certificate of at least three months and three years of relevant experience. Interview and engagement conditions

Selection is by interview, with candidates contacted separately and details displayed on the office notice board. No travel allowance is provided. The initial engagement lasts one year, with any extension decided by the Ministry of AYUSH. Selected candidates must take charge within 15 days or their engagement ends automatically. Character verification applies, and absence exceeding one week without information can result in cancellation. The notice requires at least 32 monthly yoga sessions of one hour for instructors and specifies 20 one-hour classes for women's groups for female instructors.
