About This Recruitment
The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), an aided institute of the Department of Atomic Energy at Bhat, Gandhinagar, has opened applications for 58 temporary project positions under Advertisement No. 08/2026. The notification and the online form went live on 19/10/2026, and candidates have until 16/11/2026 (5:30 PM) to apply. Selected candidates will work at IPR Bhat or its laboratories at GIDC Sector 25, Gandhinagar, for a maximum of three years on a consolidated salary.
Post-Wise Highlights
- Project Scientific Officer (8 posts): B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical (5), Computer Science (2) or Instrumentation & Control (1); ₹72,930 per month including HRA; maximum age 40.
- Project Scientific Assistant (47 posts): 3-year diploma holders in Mechanical (15), Electronics / Electronics & Communication (11), Instrumentation & Control (7), Electrical (6) and Computer (3), plus 5 posts for B.Sc Physics graduates; ₹46,020 per month; maximum age 35.
- Project Administrative Staff (3 posts, all UR): graduates with 50% marks and a certified computer course; ₹25,870 per month; maximum age 30.
- Engineering degrees and diplomas need at least 60% marks. Medical cover under IPR's contributory health scheme (self only) is also available.
Selection
Applications are screened for age, qualification, category certificate and fee receipt. Project Scientific Officer and Assistant candidates are selected purely on interview performance, though a written test may be used for screening. Project Administrative Staff face a written test and a computer skill test. Tests and interviews will be held in Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar, and no TA is paid. A merit-wise wait list stays valid for one year.

- Confirm that your branch and marks match the discipline; over-qualified candidates for codes 01 and 02 are not shortlisted.
- Pay the fee through SBI Collect if it applies, then complete the online form and upload your documents.
