More Information
About the apprenticeship
Indian Bank's updated advertisement dated 4 November 2026 covers 1,500 apprenticeship seats for FY 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Training lasts 12 months at an allotted branch. The monthly stipend is Rs. 15,000 for Metro/Urban locations and Rs. 12,300 for Rural/Semi-Urban locations, without regular employee allowances or benefits. Completion does not create a right to employment.
Check eligibility and location choices
Applicants need a recognized graduate qualification completed between 1 April 2022 and 1 November 2026. The age range is 20–28 years on 1 November 2026, before applicable relaxation. Previous or ongoing apprenticeship training and one year or more of post-qualification work experience make a candidate ineligible.
Only one State/UT may be selected. Applicants can indicate three district preferences within it, with the resident district receiving first preference under the applicable merit arrangement. Annexure III contains district-wise seats. Preferences do not ensure a particular posting, and the bank may allot another district within the selected State/UT. The 48 PwBD seats are horizontal reservations within the overall 1,500 seats, not additional vacancies.
Complete both registration stages
- Finish NATS 2.0 enrolment, bring the profile to 100% completion and save the Enrolment ID.
- Complete the bank's recruitment application, including State/UT, district and language choices.
- Upload the required scans and capture the live photograph using the portal facility.
- Check the preview, submit and pay the fee between 5 November and 25 November 2026.
Keep graduation records, result-declaration evidence, identity and age proof, and applicable reservation certificates ready. Final submission locks the entered details, even though the listed editing deadline is 25 November 2026.
Examination and language requirements
The online test has 100 questions carrying 100 marks in 60 minutes. It covers reasoning, computer knowledge, English, quantitative aptitude and banking-related general awareness. Qualifying marks apply to the aggregate score, not individual sections; SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates receive a 5% relaxation in the prescribed qualifying percentage. Negative marking is not specified.
Merit is prepared State/UT-wise and category-wise. School records showing study of the chosen local language can establish exemption from the language test. Examination and language-test dates remain unannounced; call letters must be downloaded and will not arrive by post.
