About This Recruitment
The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi, has issued a notification dated 1 October 2026 to recruit 119 meritorious sportspersons in the Delhi Region. The online form opened on 17 October 2026 and closes on 10 November 2026 at 11:59 PM. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent, with a probation period of two years, and selected candidates are posted only in the Delhi Region.
Posts And Pay
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 66 posts, Pay Level 1, Class 10 pass.
- Tax Assistant: 44 posts, Pay Level 4, Bachelor's degree; a data entry skill test of 8,000 key depressions per hour must be cleared after appointment.
- Stenographer Grade-II: 9 posts, Pay Level 4, Class 12 pass; a stenography skill test (80 wpm dictation for 10 minutes) must be cleared after appointment.
Sports And Vacancies
The 119 posts are spread over 27 games, with 67 for men and 52 for women. Athletics has the most openings (15), followed by Hockey (12), Kabaddi (9), Volleyball (7), and Boxing, Football and Para Sports with 6 each. Cricket, Football, Bodybuilding, Squash and Triathlon posts are only for men. The game-wise numbers are tentative, and unfilled vacancies in one game may be reallocated to others within the total.
Who Can Apply
MTS candidates must be 18-25 years old and Stenographer and Tax Assistant candidates 18-27 years old on 31 August 2026, with up to 5 years of relaxation for sportspersons (10 years for SC / ST). Only achievements in competitions held between 1 January 2020 and 15 October 2026 count, and certificates must come from the authority named in the notification in the prescribed form.
Points To Remember
- Submit only one application; selecting several posts in it is allowed, with a stated preference.
- Call letters and other correspondence are sent by e-mail only, from [email protected].
- Selected candidates must represent the department in tournaments for at least 10 years and undertake not to seek an inter-charge or loan transfer for 10 years.
- Candidates must be clear of all doping tests and give a declaration to that effect.
