Q2 (a)2Distinguish system software from application software and explain where utilities fit, using an example to compare their services with specialised applications.
Q2 (b)3Explain flowcharts and their standard symbols, then construct a flowchart for calculating simple interest.
Q2 (c)2Write a C program that accepts a square’s side length, calculates its area and displays the result.
Q3 (a)2Explain the purpose of computer networks and compare ring and bus topologies by layout and vulnerability to failures.
Q3 (b)2Compare synchronous and asynchronous transmission and provide a distinct real-world networking example of each.
Q3 (c)3Present the seven OSI layers in order and briefly explain the networking responsibility of each.
