About the BPCC-104 assignment
The BPCC-104 assignment covers the use of statistics in research, measurement scales, data organisation, frequency distributions, central tendency, variability, z-scores and correlation assumptions. The tutorial adds practical data collection and statistical analysis, along with a review of a course block.
Part A carries 70 marks: two questions worth 20 marks each, with answers of about 500 words where applicable, and six questions worth 5 marks each, with answers of about 100 words where applicable. |---|---|---|
| Assignment One — Q1 | 20 | Explain how statistics contributes to research. |
| Assignment One — Q2 | 20 | Calculate the range, average deviation, quartile deviation and standard deviation for the supplied dataset. |
| Assignment Two — Q3 | 5 | Describe the different scales used for measurement. |
| Assignment Two — Q4 | 5 | Explain how data are classified and arranged in tables. |
| Assignment Two — Q5 | 5 | Explain cumulative frequency distributions using an appropriate example. |
