HPSC Assistant Professor (College Cadre) 2024: SKT Answer Booklet Inspection Notice & Music (Instrumental) Marks Out (14 Subjects, Advt No. 42 to 67/2024)Inspection Applications Closed

• Essential qualification as per the Haryana Higher Education (College Cadre) Group-B Service Rules, as amended.
• A good academic record with a Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned, relevant or allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or an accredited test such as SLET/SET; candidates with a Ph.D. awarded under the UGC Ph.D. Regulations of 2009 or 2016 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET; a Ph.D from a foreign university ranked among the world's top 500 (QS, THE or ARWU) is also accepted.
• Knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric standard or in higher education.

• The online application for answer booklet inspection was open from 08.10.2026 to 10.10.2026 till 05:00 PM on hpsc.gov.in; HPSC said the link would then be disabled and no extension allowed.
• Applicants logged in to their account with their registered mobile number and paid Rs. 500 per answer sheet online.
• Keep the one-page document generated after applying (photograph, personal details and payment details) and one photo identity proof; both must be brought on the inspection day.
• Watch the Schedule of Inspection page on hpsc.gov.in; HPSC will not send the schedule by e-mail or any other mode.

About This Update

HPSC recruited Assistant Professors (College Cadre) for the Higher Education Department, Haryana through Advertisement No. 42 to 67 of 2024, published on 2 August 2024 for 2424 posts in 26 subjects. On 4 October 2026 the Commission announced that candidates in 14 of these subjects may inspect their evaluated Subject Knowledge Test answer booklets. HPSC's results list already shows a final result for each of these 14 subjects. The same day, it released roll number-wise SKT and interview marks of all Music (Instrumental) candidates (Advt No. 57/2024).

Inspection Rules

• Applications were taken online from 08.10.2026 to 10.10.2026 till 5:00 PM, by logging in with the registered mobile number; the window has closed and HPSC allowed no extension.
• The fee was Rs. 500 per answer sheet, paid online and not refundable.
• Only the candidate may inspect, and only her or his own answer sheet, within the time given in the schedule.
• Biometric attendance will be taken. Pens, pencils, mobile phones, electronic devices and any camera are barred, and photographing or copying the sheet can lead to legal action.
• Candidates whose results are in sealed cover under court directions, or whose writ petitions are pending in the High Court, had to apply in this same window, but their booklets will be shown only after their petitions are disposed of.

Music (Instrumental) Marks

The marks list converts SKT marks out of 150 to a score out of 87.5, adds interview marks out of 12.5, and shows a total out of 100. Candidates who did not reach the interview are marked "Not Qualified for Viva-Voce". The final result for this subject, dated 23.07.2026, kept three posts (two General, one DSC) vacant pending clarification from the Department and remains subject to CWP Nos. 13329/2025, 21663/2024 and 8615/2025.

Points To Remember

Under the advertisement, the SKT is a 150-mark, 3-hour paper with 87.5% weightage and the interview carries 12.5%. Computer Science, Environmental Science, Mathematics and Physics were examined in English only; Commerce, Economics, Geography, History, both Music subjects, Political Science and Psychology were bilingual; and Hindi and Sanskrit were in their own language. Music candidates first had to clear a Skill Test.
