About This Update

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, opened online applications on 4 September 2026 for the Haryana Open School (HOS) Secondary and Senior Secondary fresh category exam of March 2027 (Circular BSEH/HOS/2026/08). The no-late-fee deadline, last fixed at 15 October 2026, has now been extended to 31 October 2026 by a press note dated 16 October 2026 (Circular BSEH/HOS/2026/11).

Fee Structure

Exam fee for the fresh category: ₹3500 for Secondary or Senior Secondary.
Additional subject in Senior Secondary: ₹400 extra.
The original schedule had a ₹1500 late-fee window (1 to 17 October 2026); for now, forms submitted by 31 October 2026 attract no late fee.

Who Can Apply

Secondary: candidates must attach proof of date of birth, such as a birth certificate or school leaving certificate.
Senior Secondary: Class 10 pass from a recognised board, with at least one and a half years since passing - so those who passed Class 10 in September 2025 or earlier are eligible.
Students who did not pass English in Class 10 must also take Secondary English as an Additional subject.
From session 2026-27, Class 10 HOS candidates follow the three-language formula and choose seven subjects: six compulsory and one optional.

What To Do Now

Apply online, choose your study centre and exam medium, and enter your APAAR ID.
Upload a recent colour photo (50-80 KB) and signature (20-30 KB); wrong sizes can hold back your roll number.
Make sure the fee reaches the Board's account; an unpaid or returned fee means the form is not counted.
Print the hard copy, check every detail and submit the documents at your study centre.

Points To Remember

Attending 20 days of Sunday classes at the study centre between 4 September 2026 and 28 February 2027 is compulsory.
Photo and signature errors can be corrected only up to one month before the exam, with a separate correction fee.
The Board will not hear requests from students who miss the deadline, so finish the form well before 31 October 2026.
