• Eligibility varies by specialisation; consult Annexure-I for the exact desired qualification and experience for each field.
• Water Resources roles require the specified Civil, Irrigation, Hydraulics, Water Resources, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Instrumentation, IT or Electronics engineering qualifications and the relevant experience stated for the role.
• Power roles require the specified Electrical, Civil, Thermal, Mechanical or Instrumentation engineering qualification and applicable sector experience. Energy Auditor applicants need a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and Bureau of Energy Efficiency certification.
• Infrastructure roles cover Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Transportation, Structures, Planning, Urban Development, Architecture, Finance and Asset Management, with role-specific qualifications and experience.
• Ports & Harbours specialisations require B.E./M.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Construction Supervision Engineers may apply with a Diploma in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience.
• ERP Expert applicants need B.Tech., MCA or CA and at least five years of IT experience.
• Project Management Expert applicants need BE/B.Tech in the relevant field together with an MBA in Project Management.
• Other specialisations have individual requirements in management, social science, engineering, economics, finance, accountancy, law, public administration, environment, geology or GIS, as set out in Annexure-I.

• Select Apply now or the application option beside the relevant specialisation.
• Create an account if you are a new user; existing users can sign in using a mobile OTP.
• Choose the relevant sector and specialisation or specialisations, then complete the online details.
• Download Annexure-II, the prescribed CV format, from the Advertisement and CV format section.
• Complete the CV, identify the specialisation applied for, and sign and date its certification.
• Upload the completed CV with the online application and submit by 31 March 2027.

About the empanelment

WAPCOS Limited, a Government of India public sector enterprise, is accepting applications under EXPERT-DATABANK-2026 to build its pool of experts for fixed or short-term requirements. Registration is for future consideration rather than appointment against a stated number of vacancies. WAPCOS may contact experts it shortlists, but joining the databank does not establish an entitlement to employment.

Scope and eligibility

Annexure-I covers 56 specialisation entries in Water Resources, Power, Infrastructure Development, Ports & Harbours and Others. These entries are not vacancy figures. Instrumentation Specialist appears in both Water Resources and Power and is counted separately in each sector.

The opportunities include engineering, planning, architecture, finance, management, legal, environmental and other specialist fields. Diploma holders with relevant experience are eligible for Construction Supervision Engineers in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines. ERP Expert applicants must have B.Tech., MCA or CA and at least five years of IT experience. Applicants should match their qualifications and experience to the particular specialisation rather than rely on a single common eligibility standard.

Application process and deadline

The online window runs from 27 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. New applicants must create an account, while registered users can sign in through mobile OTP. After selecting a sector, applicants may choose more than one specialisation and enter their details. They must then complete and upload the prescribed Annexure-II CV.

Preparing the prescribed CV

The format asks for personal and contact details, category, date of birth, nationality, education, professional memberships, training, countries of work experience and language proficiency. Employment history must begin with the current position and proceed backwards through jobs held since graduation.

Applicants can describe up to five assignments demonstrating their suitability, including project details, clients, roles and activities. Additional sheets are permitted where the available space is insufficient.

Certification matters

The CV must identify the specialisation sought and carry the applicant's signature, date and full name. Signing confirms the accuracy of the information and permits WAPCOS to include the CV in bids it submits. Wilful misstatements can result in disqualification or dismissal after engagement.
