• BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech, preferably in Electronics & Communication, IT, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics or an equivalent discipline.
• The qualification must have recognition from AICTE, UGC and/or another statutory authority or board.
• At least 22 years of post-qualification experience in Telecommunications/IT Project Management or technical leadership is required.
• Freelancing, self-employment and work in an applicant's own business are excluded from the qualifying experience.
• Experience with Network Management Systems, Element Management Systems/OSS, network design and scalable IT system design and architecture is desirable.
• Work experience with government departments or PSUs is also desirable.

Engineering Projects (India) Ltd., a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has advertised one Consultant/Expert–IT position through advertisement HRM/REC/08/2026. The E8-level/Level-14 assignment is based in New Delhi. Responsibilities include project identification, client coordination, bid management, preparation or review of technical and financial proposals, and project acquisition.

Who should check eligibility

The prescribed qualifications are BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech, preferably in the specified electronics, IT, computer science or electrical-related disciplines, or an equivalent field. Applicants must have at least 22 years of relevant post-qualification experience and must not exceed 64 years on 2 November 2026. Pay and tenure

For retired government or PSU employees receiving a pension from public funds, remuneration is the lower of last pay drawn minus pension and Rs. 1,50,000. For those not receiving such a pension, it is the lower of half the last pay drawn and Rs. 1,50,000. Last pay drawn comprises basic pay and DA at retirement. The initial term is one year; extensions depend on performance and organisational requirements, subject to a three-year maximum or age 65, whichever is earlier. This engagement does not create a right to regular appointment.
