About This Update
PGIMER Chandigarh has issued a new exam date for its Nursing Officer (Group 'B') recruitment under Advt. No. PGI/RC/055/2026/2276. The Computer Based Test had been announced for 21 October 2026 through an exam date notice of 5 October 2026. A postponement notice followed on 10 October 2026, and a notice dated 19 October 2026 has now fixed 18 November 2026 (Wednesday, afternoon shift) as the new CBT date. Exam city details will be sent by e-mail, and the admit card will be released shortly on the PGIMER website under the Students / Info for Candidates section, using the same User ID and password as the application. If you applied for this recruitment, you have roughly four extra weeks to prepare.

Points To Remember
The CBT has 100 multiple-choice questions in English for 100 marks in 100 minutes, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer. The qualifying mark is 40% for General/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/OBC, and three candidates per post are shortlisted for document verification; final merit is based on the CBT marks, so keep your nursing degree or GNM diploma, experience certificate, category certificate and age proof in order. Do not rely on the old 21 October 2026 date shown on earlier notices; the exam will now take place on 18 November 2026.
