• AEE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institution, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil.
• AEE (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or institution, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical.
• A valid GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 score in Civil Engineering (for Civil) or Mechanical Engineering (for Mechanical) only; the GATE mark must be at or above the qualifying mark for your category shown on the score card, and only a QR-coded score card is accepted.
• Ability to read, write and speak Odia, with Odia passed at Middle School / Class VII level, Odia as medium in Matriculation, or the M.E. School standard Odia test.

• Open the OPSC online application portal from the Apply Online link below and complete registration; a Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN) is created.
• Select Advertisement No. 13/2026-27 and the AEE post (Civil or Mechanical). Civil applicants must list the departments (Water Resources, Works, H & UD) in order of preference; this choice cannot be changed later.
• Enter your marks from H.S.C. to your engineering degree, leaving out marks of any extra optional / 4th optional subject, as per the corrigendum of 16/10/2026.
• Upload your photograph, full signature, left-hand thumb impression, the GATE score card of the one year you want considered and the other certificates.
• Submit before 5:00 PM on 11/11/2026, print the submitted form and sign the declaration; the signed hard copy must be produced at document verification. To change anything, cancel the application and apply again before the last date.

Odisha Public Service Commission has published Advertisement No. 13/2026-27, dated 9 October 2026, for 758 Assistant Executive Engineer posts in Group-A of the Odisha Engineering Service, with the Water Resources Department as the nodal department. The 750 Civil posts are spread across the Water Resources, Works and Housing & Urban Development departments, while the 8 Mechanical posts are in Water Resources. GATE-Based Selection

There is no OPSC written exam. Candidates are called for document verification on the merit of their GATE score, then about twice the number of vacancies in each category (at least five) are shortlisted for an interview. The final merit list adds the GATE score at 90% weightage and the interview at 10%. Ties go to the higher interview mark and then to the older candidate. Selected candidates must also pass a medical board.

Corrigendum Of 16 October 2026

OPSC clarified that applicants must fill the actual marks from H.S.C. to the Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, excluding any extra optional subject, and that the admission certificate for document verification will be uploaded on the OPSC website before the verification dates.

• All certificates must be issued on or before the date you submit the form; the SEBC certificate must be dated on or after 23 October 2023.
