• Senior Assistant/Office Assistant-II: At least a second-class bachelor's degree from a recognised university and 5 years of experience in Purchase & Stores, Accounts or Establishment in a university, government organisation, autonomous body or reputed private firm.
• For Senior Assistant/Office Assistant-II, B.Com/M.Com and knowledge of Tally, PFMS, TDS/GST, audit procedures/rules and financial statements are desirable.
• Only relevant experience acquired after the prescribed qualification counts. Qualifications and experience are assessed as of the online application closing date, including any amendment.
• Foreign degree holders must provide AIU equivalency proof; applicants with graded degrees must provide the percentage and Class/Division conversion criteria.

What the recruitment covers

INFLIBNET, an autonomous Inter University Centre of the University Grants Commission, has issued Advertisement No. 01/2026 for three unreserved positions. There is one vacancy each for Scientist-E in Library Science, Scientist-B in Computer Science and Senior Assistant/Office Assistant-II. The current posting location is Gandhinagar, Gujarat, although selected candidates may be assigned work anywhere in India.

Scientist-E is a deputation appointment for one year. Scientist-B is being recruited against a lien vacancy: the appointee may continue and become permanent if the lien holder does not return, but must leave the post if the lien holder returns. Senior Assistant/Office Assistant-II is a direct recruitment position. The posts carry Pay Levels 13, 10 and 6 respectively, with applicable allowances; selected candidates will be covered only under NPS.

Complete both application stages

Eligibility and selection checks

Qualifications and experience are assessed against the online closing date, subject to any amendment. Only relevant experience earned after obtaining the required qualification is counted. Foreign qualifications require AIU equivalency documentation, while graded qualifications need the applicable percentage and Class/Division conversion method.

The scrutiny committee may shortlist using qualifications and the quality of relevant experience, including standards above the stated minimum. Selection may involve a screening test, written test, skill test or interview. Call letters are issued by email only, and original documents must be produced when required. Employed applicants must follow the proper-channel requirement or provide an employer NOC when requested after sending an advance copy.
