About the MLII-104 assignment
The MLII-104 assignment covers Units 1–16 and examines database systems, library automation, digitisation, cataloguing, Internet communication and security, search engines, and electronic information services. Its practical component involves bibliographic records, alerts, search-engine comparisons and email-based services.
The PDF divides the work into a 50-mark Tutor Marked Assignment and a 50-mark practical component. The written assignment has five equally weighted questions: the first four offer alternatives, while the fifth requires short notes on any two listed topics. The practical component contains four tasks worth 10, 10, 15 and 15 marks.

How to write and submit it
- Use the assignment set for your admission session; its validity is one year, and missing the session deadline requires attempting a fresh set for a subsequent session.
- On the first page, place your enrolment number, name, full address and dispatch date at the top right.
- At the top left of the first page, include the programme title/code, course title/code, assignment number, and study centre name and code; follow the prescribed format strictly.
- Submit handwritten answers on foolscap-size paper; typed or computer-printed assignments are not accepted.
- Leave a three-inch left margin and at least four lines between answers, and identify each answer with its question number.
- Complete all required questions, observing the alternatives and the instruction to select two short-note topics.
- Explain relevant course material in your own words: reproducing unit text earns zero, while copying another student’s answers leads to rejection.
- Submit the work by the applicable deadline to the Coordinator or Programme In-charge of your allotted Study Centre.
Submission dates: 31 March 2027 (June term-end exam; July 2026 session); 30 September 2027 (December term-end exam; January 2027 session).
