About the MLIE-105 assignment
The MLIE-105 assignment covers Units 1–18, including informetrics, sociology of science, graphical presentation of data, bibliometric laws, citation analysis, science and technology indicators, cognitive mapping and statistical analysis.
The written TMA has five compulsory question groups worth 10 marks each, totalling 50 marks. The first four groups offer alternative questions; the fifth asks for short notes on any two topics. The listing gives maximum marks as 100, while the PDF separately lists a 50-mark seminar. Its topic is chosen by the counsellor, and performance is evaluated at the study centre.

How to write and submit it
- Use the assignment set for your admission session; its validity is one year, and missing the deadline requires attempting the fresh set for the subsequent session.
- Write your answers by hand in English or Hindi; typed answers and computer printouts are not permitted.
- Use foolscape-size paper, leave a three-inch left margin and at least four lines between answers, and identify each answer by its question number.
- On the first page’s top right, include your enrolment number, name, full address and date of despatch.
- On the first page’s top left, include the programme title/code, course title/code, assignment number, and study centre name and code; follow the prescribed format strictly.
- Complete every required question group, observing the alternatives and the choice of two short-note topics.
- Explain relevant course concepts in your own words; reproducing unit text attracts zero marks, and copying another student’s answers leads to rejection.
- Submit the assignment to the Coordinator or Programme In-charge of your allotted study centre by the applicable deadline.
Submission dates: 31 March 2027 (June term-end exam); 30 September 2027 (December term-end exam)
