About the BFDI-071 assignment
The BFDI-071 assignment covers the protective and comfort-related roles of clothing, selected design and industry terms, and clothing associated with India's royal families. It also includes a drawing task involving a female fashion figure and a garment based on geometric shapes.
There are four compulsory questions worth 50 marks in total. Three questions carry 10 marks each, while the drawing task carries 20 marks. The assignment has a 25% weightage. Illustrations and diagrams may be used to support explanations.

How to write and submit it
- Answer all four questions; illustrations and diagrams may be added to support your explanations.
- Read the relevant study units and write answers in your own words rather than reproducing the study material.
- Use full-size paper and leave 4 cm margins at the top, bottom and left.
- Clearly identify the question number and its part with each answer.
- Submit handwritten work either as scanned copies through the Regional Centre's email or upload link, or as a hard copy to your Regional Centre or Study Centre.
- Assignment submission is compulsory before taking the term-end examination; the booklet states that hall tickets will not be issued without it.
- Keep a copy of your responses and do not copy another student's work, as copied assignments may be rejected and disciplinary action may follow.
