About This Update
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, is filling 45 non-teaching posts under Advertisement No. 03/2026: 15 Steno Typist, 20 Clerk and 10 Storekeeper. The notification came out on 11 September 2026 and online applications were accepted from 16 September to 8 October 2026 (4 PM). The university has now extended the last date for submitting the offline application to 2 November 2026 (4 PM), giving applicants more time to complete the second half of the process.
Who Could Apply
- A bachelor's degree is the base qualification for all three posts; Storekeeper needs a degree with Economics, or B.Com, or BBA.
- Every post also requires a 120-hour or "O" level computer course and 10th passed with Punjabi.
- Steno Typists must clear shorthand at 80 wpm (transcription at 15 wpm) and Clerks typing at 30 wpm, each in both English and Punjabi, as part of selection.
- The age limit is 18 to 37 years as on 1 January 2026; SC and Backward Classes get 5 years of relaxation and Punjab-resident PwD 10 years.
What To Do Now
- If you submitted the online form, download the prescribed offline application form from the GADVASU job notice page.
- Fill it in, paste a recent photograph and sign it.
- Attach the printout of your finally submitted online application and the other required documents.
- Send or hand it over to the Registrar, GADVASU, Ludhiana-141004, so that it reaches by 2 November 2026 at 4 PM.
Selection And Pay
Selection begins with a qualifying Punjabi language test of matric level (50 marks, 50% needed), followed by a 100-mark main examination with 0.25 negative marking and a 40% qualifying mark. Steno Typist candidates then take shorthand tests in English and Punjabi, which count towards merit, while Clerk candidates take a qualifying typing test; Storekeeper merit rests on the main exam. Document verification follows the merit list, and selected candidates must pass a medical fitness test. The Steno Typist post carries pay of ₹21,700 (Level-3), while Clerk and Storekeeper carry ₹19,900 (Level-2).
Points To Remember
- The fee was ₹590 for SC and PwD candidates and ₹1180 for all others, paid online.
- In-service candidates must send the hard copy through proper channel.
- The online form is closed; the extension applies only to the offline submission.
