About This Opening
Research Centre Imarat (RCI), the DRDO laboratory in Hyderabad, Telangana, has announced its apprenticeship intake under Advt. No. RCI/HRD/Apprenticeship/Advt/2027. The notification was issued on 6 October 2026, and applications are being taken from 10 October 2026 to 8 November 2026. In all, 195 seats are on offer for engineering graduates, diploma holders and ITI pass-outs.
Seat Break-Up
- Graduate Apprentice: 50 seats for B.E./B.Tech holders.
- Technician Apprentice: 30 seats for diploma holders.
- Trade Apprentice: 115 seats for ITI holders, the largest group.
Who Can Apply
The key condition is recent and strong academics. Candidates must have passed their degree, diploma or ITI between 2022 and 2026 in a relevant branch or trade, with at least 70% marks or a CGPA of 7.5. This means a candidate who passed before 2022, or who scored below 70% (or below a CGPA of 7.5), does not meet the condition, even with the right branch or trade. ITI certificates must be from an NCVT- or SCVT-affiliated institute. The minimum age is 18 years as on 1 September 2026, and there is no application fee.

The application route depends on your category:
- Trade (ITI) Apprentice: apply through the Apprenticeship India portal.
- Graduate and Technician Apprentice: apply through the NATS portal.
Both portals carry the same last date of 8 November 2026.
Selection And Points To Remember
Shortlisting will be based on academic merit and/or an interview, followed by document verification. Since academic merit counts, keep your final marksheets and passing certificate ready for verification, and finish the application before 8 November 2026 (11:59 PM).
