More Information
Deadline extension and recruitment scope
DLRS Assam has moved the application closing date to 31 October 2026 at 5:00 PM through Notice No. DLR-11013(21)/50/2025/382 dated 21 October 2026. Only the deadline has changed; the remaining conditions of Advertisement No. DLR-11013(21)/50/2025/372 dated 19 September 2026 continue to apply. That advertisement replaced the earlier advertisement dated 14 March 2026 and invited fresh applications.
The 579 Land Record Assistant positions are under District Commissioners' offices in Assam, excluding Sixth Schedule areas. The pay is PB-2, Rs. 14,000–70,000, plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 and admissible Assam Government allowances. Reservations include 173 posts for women; the separately identified 16 disability-reserved posts and 6 ex-servicemen posts do not increase the overall vacancy count.
Check the training requirement first
This recruitment is specifically for candidates who completed the six-month RCCC training at the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati. Official proficiency in both Survey and Settlement must have been established before 13 August 2026. Computer proficiency and typing speeds of 30 words per minute in English and 15 words per minute in Assamese or Bengali are also required.
Submit the application and prepare documents
- Read both official notices and the online application instructions.
- Complete the form and upload the prescribed photograph, signature and RCCC passed certificate.
- Review the application, submit it before the revised closing time and retain a printed copy.
- For document verification, prepare originals and self-attested copies of the listed educational, age, training and applicable reservation or service documents, including Declaration Form-A for Small Family Norms.
Understand the examination
The written test carries 80 marks: Mathematics at Class X standard carries 10, Conventional Survey 50 and Modern Survey 20. Each incorrect answer attracts a deduction of 0.25 marks. Shortlisted written-test qualifiers proceed to the 20-mark computer and typing test.
UR candidates need at least 40 marks in the written test and 10 in the skill test. The stated thresholds for OBC/MOBC, ST(P), ST(H), SC and PwD (PH) candidates are 32 and 8 respectively. Combined marks determine final merit, subject to eligibility verification. Examination and skill-test dates remain unannounced.
