About This Update
The Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (formerly CG Vyapam) conducts the Teacher written exam (LST26) for the Directorate of Public Instruction. Its exam instructions of 07/08/2026 had set a tentative exam date of 25/10/2026. A notice dated 14/10/2026 now states that the exam will be held for all candidates on Sunday, 20/12/2026, at centres in 16 district headquarters. The recruitment has 1654 posts, split into 868 E-Cadre and 786 T-Cadre posts, at Pay Matrix Level-08.
Form Re-Opened For Some Divyang Candidates
To comply with the Chhattisgarh High Court order dated 09/10/2026 in WPS No. 6783 of 2026, the Directorate has added more disability types to the Teacher post: Blind and Cerebral Palsy for the language group (Hindi, English, Sanskrit) and Social Science; Both Arms, Autism (Mild), Cerebral Palsy and Leprosy Cured for Mathematics; and Cerebral Palsy and Leprosy Cured for Agriculture. These candidates can apply from 15/10/2026 to 30/10/2026 (5:00 PM), with corrections from 31/10/2026 to 02/11/2026.
Subject-Wise Vacancy
English has 504 posts, Sanskrit 300, Hindi, Mathematics and Social Science 250 each, and Agriculture 100.
Exam Pattern
The paper has 100 objective questions of 1 mark each, to be answered in 2 hours on an OMR sheet with a blue or black ball pen. A quarter mark is deducted for each wrong answer or for marking more than one option, and unanswered questions get zero. After the exam, objections to the model answer key can be filed online at ₹50 per question.
