One-time correction facility for existing applicants

Bihar Staff Selection Commission issued a notice on 16 October 2026 allowing applicants for Stenographer / Steno Typist Grade III, Advertisement No. 07/25, to correct selected application details. The recruitment covers 531 vacancies. The edit window runs from 25 October to 31 October 2026 and does not accept fresh registrations.

The original application process began on 25 September 2025, with final submission closing on 24 November 2025. This update concerns corrections to forms already submitted for that recruitment cycle.

Fields that may be changed

Applicants may correct only one name-related field: their own name, their mother’s name or their father’s name. The facility does not allow all three to be changed together.

Other permitted changes cover gender, reservation category, date of birth, disability category and Aadhaar number. Applicants can also amend the numbers and issue dates of the specified caste, non-creamy layer, EWS, freedom fighter dependent and disability certificates. Certificate numbers and issue dates relating to educational, technical and desirable qualifications are editable as well.

The notice also includes the Bihar government permanent employee and contractual employee columns, along with the number of times a candidate has appeared in Bihar government employees’ examinations.

How to complete the correction

• Open the official candidate login portal and use your Registration Number and Date of Birth in DD-MM-YYYY format.
• Select the Edit Option in the submitted application and change only the permitted entries.
• Compare revised certificate details with the corresponding original records before proceeding.
• Check the complete application carefully, then use Final Submit before the correction deadline.
• Save or print the updated form if the portal offers that facility.

Only one correction opportunity is available. Final submission locks the changes, so applicants cannot return for another round of editing.

Tentative examination schedule

The written examination will be conducted as a computer-based test and is tentatively expected in the last week of November 2026. No exact examination date has been announced in this correction notice. Applicants should check the official BSSC website for the separate examination schedule.
