What the result covers
The District Selection Committee, Eastern West Khasi Hills District, Mairang, has issued the Lower Division Assistant result for the Qualifying Paper on Knowledge of Local Language. The examination took place on 12 September 2026. Result Notice No. MRG/DSC-43/2024/51, dated 15 October 2026, relates to Advertisement No. MRG/DSC.13/2024/15, dated 26 March 2026.
The nine-page PDF identifies candidates eligible for the Typing Speed Test and assigns their test dates and centres. Inclusion in this list is not confirmation of final selection or appointment.
Typing test dates and centres
Testing is scheduled on 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 October, followed by 2 and 3 November 2026. The scheduled starting time is 10:00 AM onwards. The three centres are the DC Office in Mairang, Tirot Sing Memorial College in Mairang, and Rose CSC Training Centre in Pyndengumiong.
Each candidate must follow the date and venue attached to their own roll number. The schedule is not an invitation to attend on any of the eight dates.
What qualified candidates should do now
- Open the official result and typing schedule PDF.
- Locate your exact examination roll number in the relevant table.
- Check the date and centre shown against that entry.
- Save the notice for reference and attend according to the allotted schedule.
- Bring the Written Examination Admit Card and an identity card.
A roll number lying numerically between two listed entries does not establish qualification. Candidates need to confirm that their own number actually appears in the published list.
Next stage and information still pending
Only candidates who pass the Typing Speed Test will be permitted to take the subsequent Written Examination. Its date will be announced separately. This progression is stated with reference to Office Memorandum No. PER(AR)43/2005/233, dated 26 March 2026.
The result notice does not give a required typing speed, test duration or detailed assessment method. Candidates should consult the applicable advertisement and separate examination instructions for those requirements, and follow further announcements on the official district website.
