HP Jal Shakti Vibhag Reckong Peo Recruitment 2026 for 20 Para Worker Posts

• Para Pump Operator: Class 10 with a recognized ITI certificate in Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Pump Operator-cum-Mechanic, or the listed Mechanic trades covering Motor Vehicle, Pump Operation & Maintenance or Pump Operator; the government Skill Development Scheme alternative specified in the notice is also accepted.
• Para Fitter: Class 10 with a recognized ITI/institute certificate in Fitter or Plumber, or the corresponding qualification under a government Skill Development Scheme as specified in the notice.
• Multi Purpose Workers: Class 8 or an equivalent qualification from a school recognized by the State Government.
• All applicants must submit their Class 8 marksheet. If the Board has not issued one, a detailed marks certificate from the school Principal is required. Multi Purpose Worker evaluation uses Class 8 marks even when the applicant holds higher qualifications.
• Experience is not compulsory, but eligible related-field experience carries selection marks.

Recruitment and place of engagement

Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Vibhag is filling 20 para-worker positions in Jal Shakti Division, Reckong Peo, District Kinnaur. The allocation comprises 4 Para Pump Operators, 1 Para Fitter and 15 Multi Purpose Workers. Selected applicants may be placed under the Reckong Peo, Sangla or Nichar sub-divisions to support water supply and irrigation schemes. These are part-time/hourly engagements involving six hours of work daily, not full-time appointments.

Eligibility and assessment

The stated age range is 18–45 years as on 09.11.2026. The technical posts require Class 10 with the relevant trade qualification or the government Skill Development Scheme alternative described in the notice. Multi Purpose Workers require Class 8 or its recognized equivalent. All candidates must provide their Class 8 marksheet; where the Board has not issued one, a detailed marks certificate from the school Principal is required.

Selection carries 10 marks. For Para Pump Operator and Para Fitter, academic performance carries 5 marks, BPL status 1 mark, eligible experience 2 marks and the skill/physical test 2 marks. Multi Purpose Workers receive up to 6 marks for Class 8 performance, 2 for eligible experience and 2 for the physical test. Experience is not mandatory; qualifying experience earns half a mark for every six months, within the stated maximum.
