Recruitment overview
ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Beltola, Guwahati is filling 32 Senior Resident positions on a contractual basis. The notified category distribution is UR 7, OBC 11, SC 7, ST 1 and EWS 6. Vacancy numbers are provisional and may change according to the hospital's requirements. Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
Eligibility and interview arrangements
Applicants must satisfy the academic qualification, teaching experience and research experience requirements prescribed by NMC under Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025. The maximum age is 45 years, assessed on the document verification and interview date.
The walk-in interview is scheduled for 30 October 2026. Reporting and registration run from 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM at the Chamber of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Beltola, Guwahati-781022. Successful document verification is necessary before a candidate can proceed to the interview.
What candidates should do now
- Obtain the prescribed application form from the official notification and complete it accurately.
- Send the application and self-attested dossiers by email before the interview, including the MCI/SMC registration number and contact number. The email address should be checked in the official notification.
- Assemble original certificates and self-attested copies covering age, medical qualifications, registration, applicable category and experience requirements.
- Carry two recent passport-size photographs and an employer's no-objection certificate where applicable.
OBC candidates must provide a certificate in the Central Government format that is no more than one year old on the interview date. EWS candidates must bring the specified I&A certificate.
Pay and contractual conditions
The post carries fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 at Level 11, plus NPA, DA, HRA, TA and DA on TA. The stated approximate total remuneration is Rs. 139462.
Selected candidates must submit a Rs. 30,000 security deposit through a DD or banker's cheque favouring ESIC Fund Account No. 1, payable at Guwahati. This deposit is forfeited if the candidate resigns or terminates the contract within nine months of commencement, whether or not prior notice is given. Private practice is prohibited during service. Hostel accommodation or quarters will not be provided, and interview attendance does not attract TA/DA.
